We have created several short-films about our volunteering days on our Youtube channel. Hear from other volunteers about their experiences volunteering for the Carneddau Landscape Partnership!
If you would like to give back to this special landscape, there are plenty of opportunities to volunteer with the Carneddau Landscape Partnership Scheme.
From getting stuck into some practical conservation tasks and delving into historical archives to learning how to map archaeological features using brand-new data, you can become a guardian of the Carneddau.
There is something for everyone with volunteering opportunities ranging from independent research and monitoring, which can be carried out from home, to interactive group work out on the landscape.
- Develop skills, experience and new information.
- Give something back to your local community.
- Appriciate and get to know what lays on your doorstep.
- Meet new people and make friends.
- Keep active and have fun.
- Taking part directly in conservation steps.
We’re working in partnership with Snowdonia Society to offer a range of volunteering opportunities in the Carneddau.

“I joined with no archaeological knowledge or background and by the end of the first day I was asking to stay longer to discover more Neolithic finds! Sitting where a Neolithic person sat to create their axe is a very moving experience that I’ll treasure forever (excuse the pun!). Everyone was so friendly and welcoming; I couldn’t wait to go back every day.”
